How To Stay Positive and Grateful While Hunkering Down

I don’t know about you, but I feel best when I think I have some “control” over my life, even in a small way. I know it’s important to stay productive, positive and grateful! The following list can help us shift our thinking, without spending a dime!

*Re-imagine an old hobby. Do you have something that you used to love to do when you were younger or when you had plenty of spare time? Do that. It will make you feel refreshed and let you focus on something completely superficial.

*Clean up that one space in your home you have been avoiding. No matter the size of our homes, we all have that one closet, drawer or shelf that just doesn’t seem to get done. It will make you feel so productive to do this little thing.

*Work on your side-hustle. Do you have a business you have been wanting to start to explore? Now is the perfect to dive in with both feet! Research, dream and think of all the possibilities.

*Turn off the news and turn on Netflix. Once you get updated on the days events, try not to spend all day going down the rabbit hole. Spend it mindlessly binging your favorite show or a good-feeling movie. Stay away from documentaries that will just get you riled up over something else.

*Take an on-line course. Take this opportunity to participate in a course that may be interesting to you. There are free webinars, ebooks, downloads, etc. that cover tons of subjects. Nothing resets your mind quite like learning something new.

*Start a grateful journal. This is the PERFECT time for us to be grateful for what we have. Even simple things like running water are such a blessing. Imagine if we were all stuck at home with no electricity? No water? No wifi? Trust me, it can always be worse.

*Pray. There is nothing that refreshes the soul like hearing a good sermon, reading that favorite scripture or listening to your favorite inspirational podcast.

*Do a jigsaw puzzle, crossword with an actual pencil or even play a card game. Sometimes what’s old… is new again.

*Reach out to a friend who always makes you smile and have a good giggle.

*Almost everyday around my house you will hear… Alexa… play disco. Play your favorite upbeat music, know matter what the genre… and know that a brighter day is coming.

I’m so grateful for an online community. Even though we often hear about the negative aspects, I love that even though we may be separated, we really aren’t apart 🙂 bless you all!

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Until next time, I will be thinking and praying for you!

This blog is definitely rather handy since I’m at the moment creating an internet floral website – although I am only starting out therefore it’s really fairly small, nothing like this site. Can link to a few of the posts here as they are quite. Thanks much. Zoey Olsen
