10 FREE THINGS TO DO IN LAS VEGAS

Las vegas

I love Las Vegas! There is so much to do! Whether you like nightlife or a day scene, there is a little something for everyone. The idea of eating brunch under the Eiffel Tower and then throwing a penny in the Trevi fountain is the absolute best! Below are ten things to do in Vegas without spending a dime…

1.Fremont Street (off Strip)- Go at night when it’s all lit up and it definitely gives off an old Las Vegas vibe. People watching is a must here and it’s full of interesting characters, street vendors and live music. If you go during the day when the stores are open, expect to spend a lot less on souvenirs than on the Strip. Protip: if you do gamble, minimums are a lot less here than the Strip.

2. Bellagio Fountain (on Strip)- Arguably one of the most famous sights on the Strip, the lighted dancing fountains is a must see on the Strip. If you haven’t been, the Bellagio is located near the middle of the Strip, so it’s not a bad walk from anywhere. No matter what kind of crowd you are with, they will enjoy it.

3. Arts District – (off Strip)- Located in the heart of downtown, this is the perfect place to check out the local flavor of the city. Walk a few blocks and check out wall murals, restaurants and eclectic shops.

4. Downtown Container Park (off Strip)- A fun, interactive park located near the Art District and Fremont. Full of shops, restaurants, live entertainment and even a children’s tree house. During the day, it’s a family friendly venue. After 9pm, it’s an adult’s only hot spot.

5. Circus Act at Circus Circus (on Strip)- Home of the only permanent circus on the Strip, you can check out a free circus act a few times a day. Get there early to grab a seat.

6. Walk the lobby at the Wynn – (on Strip) Toward the end of the strip, it’s worth the walk to see their amazing atrium in the lobby. A hot air balloon, life-sized carousel and thousands of fresh flowers adorn this installation. Don’t forget to to check out their musical fountains at the entrance and their enormous water wall which is the perfect spot for a drink.

7. Conservatory at the Bellagio – (on Strip) This floral installation changes out seasonally and it’s always done beautifully. Open 24 hours and right pass the lobby entrance, this exhibit is stunning.

8. M&M’s World – (on Strip) – This is just a fun stop as you walk down the Strip. Bringing kids to Vegas? Check out the multi-floors with larger than life characters and maybe even a 3D movie will be playing on the top floor.

9. Gondolas at the Venetian Hotel – (on Strip) No need to go to Italy with a hotel like this on the Strip. It’s stunning. Walk through and check out the Streetmosphere (restaurants, actors, etc.) located in the Grand Canal Shoppes. Although it cost money to ride in the gondola, it’s magical to see them floating by in this one of a kind spot.
