I’m always on the quest for the next great mascara. I buy it more often than any other beauty product. I think because it dries out so quick, I feel like I’m constantly replacing them. Here are my latest high-end trys. Two of the three I’m loving…
Urban Decay Perversion. This was a surprise. I’m not sure why since I love Urban Decay, but my expectations weren’t too high. Boy, I couldn’t have been more wrong. This mascara is fantastic. It is smooth, doesn’t clump and the brush is awesome. I was so impressed with this mascara. It’s a definite yes for me.
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir. On the other hand, I thought I was going to love the Marc Jacobs mascara. I had seen it a lot and it received rave reviews. It was a hard pass for me. Didn’t like the formula. Didn’t like the brush. Didn’t like the packaging. Just a no.
It Cosmetics Superhero. I’ve bought this before and loved it. I’m not sure why I didn’t repurchase it. It is a fantastic mascara.
My favorite drug store mascara?
I hopped on the Loreal Lash Paradise ($6.99 – $9.99) bandwagon with everyone else that works great for me on thickness. But, I double up and still add Essence Volume Stylist ($4.99) for length.
Worth it or not? The verdict? The Urban Decay was the winner. Although I can definitely get the job done with a drug store brand, there is room in my rotation for a little luxury.
