So, it’s cold outside and New Year’s is approaching in Texas… might as well make a boozy slushie drink! Moscato and I have had a long, long relationship and any time I use it, it’s always a big hit. For those of you who still haven’t tried it, it’s a sweet Italian wine from the muscat grape with a fruity flavor that is served chilled. Even though it originated in Italy, you can find several varieties from all over the world. My favorite is here.
This is the easiest! 2 ingredients – ice and booze – one part Moscato to 1-1/2 parts ice. Blend for about 30 seconds and pour into champagne flute. Garnish with a mint leaf and maybe even a little edible glitter 🙂
Change it up in the summer with a stemless glass (get my favorite one, here), a colorful straw (which I cut, so it fits perfectly in the glass), and a slice of fruit on the rim. Enjoy! And blessings for the New Year!
