SIMPLE WAYS TO ADD FALL DECOR TO A SMALL SPACE

Since moving into a smaller space, I’ve had to change how I decorate around the house. I can’t have these elaborate, large displays that used to takeover my holidays! Now, I just add “touches” to existing items throughout my space. Fall is pretty easy. It makes me want to cozy up with blankets and drink something warm. I feel like I can throw a pumpkin in an arrangement and voila’… you have Fall LOL.  So, for me, a tray can be a great solution. I keep this large, oval, white tray from Ikea on my kitchen table that I switch out as different seasons change or events come up. Below is the latest.  From the left, large sweater pumpkin from Target (9.99), white & burlap pumpkins from Dollar Tree and Eat Local sign from Target Spot. I layered it up with burlap ribbon in teal & brown to match the sign from Dollar Tree. By the way, I would take a pass on the unwired burlap ribbon but the wired is the best. Load up on every color they have!

The picture below does not reflect how large it actually is. I bought this oversized white bowl (from Marshalls) that I keep on one end of my island that is full of Dollar Tree pumpkins (I LOVE those glitter ones), pinecones and a sprig of autumn from Hobby Lobby. Simple, but I think it looks darling.

I have a thin, white buffet table that is the perfect spot to throw in a little fall decor. I picked up this wonderful sign from Hobby Lobby for 40% off (of course) that I could probably leave up all year. I stacked up some of my finds from the farmhouse series from Target and placed a feathered boa around for fun. The small pumpkins are from Dollar tree, the large white velvet was a crafting find and the assortment of extras in the photo were from Dollar Tree as well.

My Williams Sonoma dinnerware already has the perfect colors for Fall, but honestly any solid color would probably work great too. I picked up these neutral placemats and gold chargers from Dollar Tree along with the white ceramic pumpkin. The linens are from the Target spot. I’m pretty sure I could have probably re-created this myself but well… it was easier just to buy it!

My bakers rack in the kitchen is stainless. It is the perfect solution for small spaces in the kitchen. I’ve had a few comments about it, so stay tuned for a post on how I style it. For Fall, I just hung a twig wreath with a raffia bow from Dollar Tree and then strung the Fall sign from Target spot across the front. I have a few other odds and ends like my stainless and burlap bucket from Dollar Tree and the stainless milk sign from Target (again, from the farmhouse series). This is a pretty cute picture, but it is absolutely darling in person.

In small spaces, you have to hunt for places to add a little decor. My desk space is a great space to add a few things. I paired my Fall sign from Target with a pumpkin and other things in the same color family along with thrift find pumpkins and my lantern that I have had for years. I layered it up blankets and baskets to make my workspace seem a little warmer for the season. Easy and done!

Then, I popped outside to add a few things on my small patio. I flanked real plants in pots with an assortment of old scarecrows, fun deco mesh ribbons, florals and a cornucopia that I’ve had for years.

Then, I just added a little scarecrow and pumpkin from Dollar Tree in my large containers outside. I added a leopard print pumpkin from the Round Top Collection. All through my larger containers, I placed these scarecrows on a stick with real and artificial pumpkins. Just super easy!
