WHAT’S IN MY SUMMER MAKEUP BAG!

Awww, I love the makeup of SUMMER! Makeup over 40 can be a little tricky though.  Summer is suppose to be when faces are dewy, luminous, and tan, So, I do tend to step out with bronzers and highlighters a little more often.  With both drugstore and high end brands, here’s what I’m currently carting around in my purse…

1. EOS is in my purse all year round. It’s a great little lip balm and that new bright seasonal packaging is adorable. 2. Kokie Black Mascara. This is the new line that is exclusively carried at Walmart. For an inexpensive mascara, it’s really pretty good. I feel like it lengthens more than it thickens and I love it on the bottom lashes for sure. It’s great for a little touchup throughout the day. 3. It Cosmetics No. 7 Brush, it’s small enough to fit in my bag and has brushes on both ends – one I use to blend out powder and/or bronzers and the smaller one is for my highlight or maybe even on my eyes. 4. Milani Illuminating Face Powder in 02-Hermosa. The name is a little misleading. I would not use it as a face powder. I apply it over my blush or temples for a little glow. It doesn’t seem to find my creases or settle into my foundation, which is a plus in my book! 5. Maybelline DreamLumi Highlighting Concealer in Ivory. I saw one of my favorite YouTube bloggers (who is about my age) showing this and I was pretty suspect. But… I place this as a brightening concealer in the inner corners of my undereye and it just adds a little something. It’s especially pretty when you aren’t wearing a lot of other makeup.

6. Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Pink Glow. I don’t do much shimmer but this is glow done right. No big hunks of glitter. Just a super fine shimmer powder that has just the right amount of shine. I use the smaller end of the IT Brush and place it on the very top of my blush line. 7. Buxom Lip Color in White Russian. It’s a matte finish but super creamy with just the right amount of pink tone. 8. Buxom Plumpable Lipliner in Incognito. I love the plumpable products that Buxom offers. It tingles a bit and leaves a slight plump in your lips. Which by the way, I appreciate. My lips seem to be looking thinner each year and it just a little helpful bump. 9. I top it off with the Buxom Plumpable Lip Gloss in White Russian. 10.  Beauty Blender in Nude. I throw it in there as a quick blender or blotter.

Until Next Time!
